10 WestEdge is a mixed use high rise tower on 2.67 acres located in the historic Horizon District of Charleston, SC. The Horizon District is master planned as a biotech research development in support of the existing Medical University of South Carolina. The nine-story building consists of a 46k square foot grocery store and 14k square feet of associated retail space at the ground floor, followed by five residential apartment units and three stories of all 358 residential apartment units. The Type IA structure utilizes panelized load-bearing metal stud framing and composite metal and concrete decking for the top three to five stories. Amenities are provided at the seventh level consisting of a club room, fitness center, rooftop pool, landscaped areas and observation terraces taking advantage of views to downtown Charleston and the Ashley River.
